mission 

Our mission is to share the good news of Jesus Christ in practical ways as well by word of mouth, for the world around us has many needs!

The Church and its members supports faith-based mission locally and further afield, both financially and with hands-on involvement.

Wings South West is a registered charity with a Christian outlook, seeking to meet the needs of young people in this area who have often had the tough end of life.

Volunteers work in Bideford Street Pastors patrols, caring for all involved in the local nightlife.

We contribute to the Bideford Foodbank, providing emergency supplies and guidance for individuals and families experiencing urgent needs.  

Tim Derbyshire went from Westward Ho! as a skilled fitter, maintaining Mission Aviation Fellowship aircraft in Tanzania; he and his wife Carol now help bring the Gospel to as yet unreached peoples through Hope From Above.

Laura-Lee Lovering is our BMS worker in Peru at the Nauta Integral Mission Training Centre, supporting lay-pastors and small churches in the Amazonian hinterland. A trained environmentalist, Laura Lee also works on projects to sustain the environment and improve living standards. Laura-Lee has a blog  http://lauralovering.wordpress.com

David Frisby is our man on board the Logos Hope ship.  David joined the ship in January / February 2020.

Other friends in this fellowship are actively involved in work with Ugandan families as Seedlings for Christ, children’s care in Mexico with Ministries of Loveand Women Without Roofs in Nepal.  Short-term service has enabled teaching and church building in India, and work on Mercy Ships and service in Gambia.
