church family
At Westward Ho! Baptist Church you will discover a family made up of many backgrounds and all ages.
What brings us together is the knowledge that Jesus Christ has made all the difference in our lives.
We express this through our worship, sharing joys and heartaches, deep friendships and by our lives showing and speaking of Jesus’ love to others.
We are a vibrant, growing church with a passion to see people’s lives transformed and enriched by the love of Jesus Christ.
We aim to be culturally relevant without compromising our Christian beliefs and principles, seeking to be faithful followers of Jesus in our society today. We sincerely try to find out what God wants in our personal lives and church community from the Bible and prayer. It is very important to us to maintain loving and co-operative relationships within the church and with others.
This all-age fellowship represents the diversity of the surrounding community. As members of God’s family, we are all valued and have a role to play. This includes meeting to seek God’s will and, amongst other matters, the church meeting appoints leaders for varying responsibilities. These include a secretary, treasurer and deacons who are also the charity trustees.
The Charity Trustees are: Nic Hopkinson (Treasurer), Tim Sutton (Pastor), Laurence Boys,
Rod Smith, David Wilson, David Frisby, Graham Fish, Julie Ousley
